About Studio Momo
Built by a dance studio owner who knows the challenges.
Studio Momo was built by Ashwin Raju, a software engineer of twenty years and the founder of Aatma Dance, a salsa and bachata dance studio in Atlanta.
Why I built it
Running Aatma Dance meant dealing with the same frustrations every independent studio owner knows: clunky legacy software built for enterprise gyms, or a patchwork of disconnected tools held together with spreadsheets and workarounds.
As an engineer, the answer was obvious: build something better. Studio Momo is the platform Ashwin wished existed when he started Aatma Dance — modern, fast, and designed specifically for independent studios and teams.
From one studio to many
Today, Studio Momo powers Aatma Dance end-to-end: the public website, online checkout, customer accounts, front desk check-ins, and studio management.
Every feature was built to solve a real problem, tested in a real studio, by someone who uses it every day. We're now rolling out to other independent studios who want the same thing we wanted: software that doesn't fight you.
