Before you start

This needs Private Lessons and Private Lesson Requests switched on. An admin turns them on in Settings, under Features.

  1. Step 1: Publish your availability

In the admin menu: Private Lessons

On the "Availability" tab, click "Add window" for each block of the week you can teach, set the day and times, and click "Save availability". Students can only request times inside these windows.

Studio classes, room rentals and your linked calendar are left out automatically. With no windows, students cannot request a lesson with you.

  2. Step 2: Accept a request

In the admin menu: Private Lessons

New requests are on the "Requests" tab, and you are emailed when one arrives. Click "Accept", choose a room under "Choose a room", add a "Note to the student (optional)" if you like, and click "Confirm booking". The student is emailed that the lesson is confirmed.

  3. Step 3: Suggest other times, or decline

In the admin menu: Private Lessons

Click "Suggest other times", pick up to three dates and times with "Add a time", and click "Send suggestions". The student is emailed; if they pick one, the lesson is confirmed and you are emailed.

To say no, click "Decline", add a reason if you want the student to see one, and click "Decline request".

  4. Step 4: See or cancel your upcoming lessons

In the admin menu: Private Lessons

The "Upcoming" tab lists your confirmed lessons. "Cancel" cancels one and returns the session to the student's pack.
