Before you start

This needs Private Lessons switched on. An admin turns it on in Settings, under Features.

  1. Step 1: Set up your lessons and packs

In the admin menu: Catalogue, then Passes & Packages

Private lessons are set up under "Appointments": each appointment type is a lesson length and who teaches it, and each pack sells a number of sessions of one type. A pack switched to "Sell online" can be bought on your Prices page, which needs Prices turned on in Features and Stripe connected.

    Read Appointments and price levels
  2. Step 2: Record a payment taken in person

In the admin menu: Front desk, then Private Lessons

Open "Sell". Find the student under "Customer" and pick the "Package". If the pack sells at more than one price level, pick the "Level" too: nothing is chosen for you. Choose the "Payment method" and check the line above the button (level, pack and the amount to take), then click "Grant sessions". This records a cash, check, app or comp payment; it does not charge a card.

Moving a student over from another system? "Advanced (migrating a balance?)" lets you change the session count or the expiry for this sale only.

  3. Step 3: See who is booked

In the admin menu: Front desk, then Private Lessons

With Private Lesson Scheduling on, "Bookings" shows one week of private lessons. Filter by instructor, or switch "Scheduled" to "Awaiting a reply" to see requests nobody has answered yet. "Cancel" cancels a booking and gives the session back to the student.

"Schedule" books a lesson for a student yourself.
