Before you start

This needs Prices switched on. An admin turns it on in Settings, under Features.

  1. Step 1: Turn it on and set the percent

In the admin menu: Setup & help, then Settings, then Payments

Find the "Sibling discount" card, switch on "Give siblings a discount on tuition", type the percent under "Discount", like 25, and click "Save".

Only an admin with access to every location can change it. Switching it off keeps the percent, so switching it back on needs no typing.

  2. Step 2: Choose which passes are tuition

In the admin menu: Catalogue, then Passes & Packages

Open each class card or kids month the discount should come off and tick "Counts as tuition (sibling discount applies)", then click "Save". The card on the payments page counts how many passes are ticked.

Memberships and passes bought as a gift cannot count as tuition. The registration fee is never discounted. A new month made from a ticked month stays ticked.

  3. Step 3: Know who gets it

Children are siblings when they share a parent or guardian on their client pages. When a parent buys tuition for several children together, the child with the most tuition pays full price and every other child gets the discount.

A child also gets it when a brother or sister already holds tuition for the same month, so a family buying on different days pays the same as one buying together.

A discount code still works and comes off what is left after the sibling discount.

  4. Step 4: Where families and staff see it

Parents see a "Sibling discount" line in their cart, on the Stripe payment page, on the order confirmation and in the receipt email. Shop cards do not mention it, because it depends on who else is buying.

At Quickdesk the line appears when the client has a brother or sister already enrolled for that month, and the total charged is the total shown. The one-tap sale on the Attendance screen sends a discounted sale to Quickdesk.
