Before you start

This needs Classes and Schedule switched on. An admin turns them on in Settings, under Features.

  1. Step 1: Create a class type

In the admin menu: Catalogue, then Class Types

A class type is a class you teach regularly, like Beginner Salsa. It has no day or time yet; that comes next. If you set up your studio by answering questions at signup, your class types may already be here, so check the list first.

Click "Add Class Type". Fill in "Name", "Style", "Level", "Duration (min)" and "Capacity", then click "Create Class Offering". If "Style" has nothing to choose from, add your styles first: a style name typed in by hand does not create a style.

Read Organise your classes by style, level and program
  2. Step 2: Make sure its instructor is listed

In the admin menu: Team & spaces, then Instructors

A weekly class needs an instructor. If yours is not in the list, click "Add Instructor"; only "Name" is required.

  3. Step 3: Give it a weekly day and time

In the admin menu: Schedule, then Timetable

Click "Add", then "Add a recurring class". Choose the "Class", the "Day of Week", the "Start Time" and "End Time", and the "Instructor", then click "Add to Timetable". If your studio has more than one location, choose the "Location" too.

The Timetable has no dates: the class repeats every week, starting today, until you stop it, and its dates appear on the Calendar. "Room" and a second instructor are optional.

  4. Step 4: Or schedule a class on one date only

In the admin menu: Schedule, then Timetable

For a class that happens once, click "Add", then "Schedule a one-time class". The form opens on the Calendar: choose the "Class", "Date", "Start time" and "End time", then click "Schedule class". It does not repeat.

  5. Step 5: Check your public schedule

There is no separate publish step for a class. An active weekly class appears on your public schedule page on its own, as long as "Schedule" is switched on in Features.

If the banner at the top of your admin says "Your site is not published yet", visitors see a coming-soon page instead of your site. Click "Publish checklist" in that banner to publish it.
