Before you start
This needs Checkin Kiosk switched on. An admin turns it on in Settings, under Features.
Step 1: Open the kiosk on the tablet
In the admin menu: Front desk, then Check-in Kiosk
Sign in to the admin on the tablet and open this screen. It fills the whole screen, with no admin menu. Only an admin can open it.
If your studio has more than one location, pick the tablet's location in the admin's location switcher first. The kiosk lists that location's classes, or your primary location's when the switcher is on all locations, and shows the location's name under the welcome.
Step 2: What students do
In the admin menu: Front desk, then Check-in Kiosk
The screen says "Search your name or email to check in". A student finds themselves, ticks today's classes and taps "Check In".
They see "You're checked in!" and the screen goes back to the start on its own after a few seconds, or when they tap "Done". A student with no pass of their own is told to see the front desk.
Step 3: Know its limits
In the admin menu: Front desk, then Check-in Kiosk
The kiosk runs on your admin login, so it locks that browser tab: the back button and any other address typed into the tab come back to the kiosk. "Exit" in the corner asks for the password of the admin who opened it (or a fresh Google sign-in) before it goes back to the admin. A new tab on the tablet is not locked, so keep the tablet where staff can see it.
Nobody is listed until a student types at least 3 letters (or their whole name), and the list shows each match as first name and last initial only, never an email or phone number. Your check-in window applies, and the kiosk cannot sell anything.
