Turn features on and off

Choose which pages your website shows and which tools your admin has, one switch at a time.

Opens ChatGPT with this guide already linked, so you can ask follow-up questions in your own words.

  1. Step 1: Find the switch

In the admin menu: Setup & help, then Settings, then Features

Switches are grouped under the same names as your sidebar: "Front desk", "Schedule", "Catalogue", "Money", "Marketing", "Website", "Team & spaces" and "Setup & help", so a switch sits with the screens it turns on. Each switch says what it does underneath its name.

Type a word into the search box to narrow the list, like waiver, gift cards or kiosk. Settings that live on other pages are listed below the switches as links.

  2. Step 2: Turn it on

In the admin menu: Setup & help, then Settings, then Features

Flip the switch. It saves straight away; there is no Save button. The feature's screen appears in your menu, and a public page appears on your website if the feature has one (once your site is published).

Some features need a little setup once they are on, and a link appears under the switch that goes there, like "Set up events", "Email settings" or "Make a pass shareable".

  3. Step 3: Turn it off

In the admin menu: Setup & help, then Settings, then Features

Flip the switch back. The screen leaves your menu and its public page stops showing, but nothing is deleted: turn it on again and everything is where you left it.

Read the line under a switch before you turn it off. A few features keep working for what was already sold (memberships already running keep billing), and "Friends & Family Sharing" stops at once: people a pass was shared with can no longer use it.

  4. Step 4: When a switch is not there

A few features are not on this page. StudioMomo turns on discount codes, translations, live occupancy and text messaging for you; each one's guide says how to ask. Timesheets come with the Pro plan.

A paid plan also switches some features on for you, and the plan guide lists which.
